CarolinaMUN
UNC’s Model United Nations Travel Team
Who Are We?
The Carolina International Relations Association (CIRA) proudly hosts the CarolinaMUN travel team and sponsors a multitude of conferences in various locations within the United States. Members have the opportunity to compete and excel at some of the most challenging conferences on the circuit, and, more importantly, grow tremendously as delegates throughout the year.
With well over five conferences to choose from spanning both semesters as well as financial assistance to afford them, there is no shortage of opportunities to participate, regardless of what kind of experience you seek.
What We Offer
Travel Team Opportunities:
CarolinaMUN competes at both regional and national conferences throughout the year. We offer spots in General Assembly (GA), Specialized, and Crisis committees, giving delegates a chance to grow their skills in both traditional and fast-paced settings.
Delegate Training & Simulations:
We host weekly training practices and multiple simulations per semester to help members build confidence, refine their speaking skills, and learn parliamentary procedure. Whether you’re preparing for your first conference or looking to master advanced crisis arcs, our team will get you ready.
MAL (Model Arab League):
In addition to MUN, we also participate in Model Arab League, offering members the opportunity to engage with Middle Eastern politics and diplomacy. We typically attend one MAL conference each semester.
